标题: Science/UCSF Career Event (Friday, March 21)
Science and UCSF are teaming up to bring you a unique career day that includes career development workshops that will include talks focused on aspects of working in China as well as the chance to meet face to face with recruiters.
Don't miss these three Friday events at UCSF Mission Bay Community Center, 1675 Owens Street (10 am–4 pm, with reception at 4 pm). Register here.
1.  Developing a Career on Both Sides of the Pacific, 1:45 – 2:45 pm
Drs. Lin and Shuman will discuss the growing opportunities for being involved with science in both China and the US.  Dr. Lin will talk about the benefits he has realized from his training in the US, and Dr. Shuman will talk about ways in which his work in China has benefited his career.  Both presenters will draw from their own experiences to help audience members understand how American scientists and Chinese scientists will benefit when they stay connected on both sides of the Pacific.

2.  Succeeding in US/ASIA Biotech Cultures, 3:00 – 4:00 pm
Our panelists will draw on their successes in biotech and academic cultures in many environments, including US, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, European countries.   They will talk about how science is conducted differently in these countries, and they will offer advice about how you can be prepared to navigate the cultural differences as your career moves from one country to another.
