Hi All,
It is important that you know that we have received several reports that the UAW is now on campus for their second attempt to unionize postdocs, and are requesting signatures from UCSF postdocs.
They are approaching postdocs in their laboratories while they are working at the bench. However, officially, they are not allowed to distract persons from their work. Therefore, you may want to discuss this with your lab members, and define the best way to deal with interruptions.
Please remember that in this second UAW attempt, postdocs will NOT be allowed to revoke their signatures at a later date; i.e., a card signed is a vote for unionization of postdocs in the entire UC-system.
Please note the information below, highlighted in red, which may help your postdocs make informed decisions.
