Try to make everything simple is the best rule for life and your career. Don't try or make things more complex, so you will be depressed and feel frustrated.
For example, don't put some rarely used reminder in your calendar, otherwise it will help you to ignore the important reminder.
Don't give yourself too much no use email alart, otherwise you will just waste time and will miss the urgent one.
