The ideal candidate will be a degreed accountant with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, while multitasking seamlessly. Experience within the hi-technology industry gives you priority. Your main responsibility will be overseeing general ledger, financial reporting, A/R and A/P functions within a small accounting department. Excellent communication skills required. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Prepare general ledger account reconciliation and journal entries for the month close process, and production of financial statements. • Analyze and adjust all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. • Review bank reconciliation, income and expenses prepared by others. • Prepare A/R aging schedule including identification of delinquent customers. Contact customers regarding past due accounts. • Prepare monthly sales tax returns for various states. • Prepare reconciliation and tie-out schedules during month-end. • Be comfort with pulling reports on-line from bank statements, travel reports, employee expenses and credit card statements • Will check all price quotes against the master price list, any discrepancies must be resolved, before invoicing • Will be responsible to maintaining fixed assets and assist with updating inventory • Be familiar with reviewing the compensation plans and applying the correct commission calculations for the US, UK, and Canadian sales team. • Will assist with preparing schedules and reports relating to bank, sales tax and annual audits • Assist with researching sales tax issues and drafting letters to the taxing authority • Responsible for the initiating and receiving wire payments within the US and abroad • Pick up checks and make bank deposits as required. • Other duties and special projects as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • BA or BS degree in Accounting • Must have experience in preparing financial statements and month-end close. Consolidation experience is a plus • Must have strong reconciliation skills from preparing fixed asset roll-forward schedule to tying-out inventory • Must be organized, detail oriented and deadline driven • Must have experience maintaining the chart of accounts and General Ledger • Minimum 4 years hands-on and progressive accounting experience preferably in a hi-tech environment. • Must have strong Excel skills (intermediate level) • Experience using Intacct (accounting software package) useful, but not required • Must have some experience with importing journal entries from an excel format to the general ledger • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to be able to interact cross-functionally • Ability to work independently, with little or no guidance • Must be able to demonstrate initiative and be a problem solver • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, fast-growth environment where action and initiative are prerequisites to performing well without close supervision. • Must be tenacious and success-oriented, a self-starter with high energy. nCircle offers a dynamic yet casual and fun work environment with corporate offices in the heart of San Francisco (1 block from BART).
